Pashmina Queen and Crafts at the Hartley Hall Markets
On July 6, 2025, Pashmina Queen & Crafts proudly set up its second stall at the renowned Hartley Hall Markets. One of Australia’s largest and most beloved handmade and home-grown goods markets. The event, hosted by Hartley Lifecare at the picturesque Hall Village Showground just outside Canberra, brought together thousands of visitors looking for unique, high-quality products in a warm community atmosphere.
Highlights from the Hartley Hall Markets
The Hartley Hall Markets have been a Canberra tradition since 1987, growing from just 36 stalls into a vibrant gathering that now features hundreds of stallholders. With live music, family entertainment, barbecues and an incredible range of goods from fresh produce. All over from, baked delights to clothing, crafts, jewelries, plants, toys, and unique gifts. The markets provide something for everyone. Importantly, all proceeds from entry donations support Hartley Lifecare’s disability programs and services making each visit a contribution to a worthy cause.

Showcasing Nepalese Pashmina and Cashmere to Australia
At our stall, visitors discovered the artistry of handmade Nepalese Pashmina and Cashmere. Our collections featured:
- Luxurious Soft Shawls and Scarves
- Soft and Stylish Stoles
- Handmade Ponchos
- Cozy Sweaters and Wraps
- Handknitted Embroidery Shawls
The skilled work of Nepalese artisans was evident in each piece, which reflected a modern design aesthetic while honoring centuries of weaving tradition. Customers were drawn to the natural softness, lightweight feel, and premium quality that only genuine Pashmina Queen and Crafts can offer.
Connecting Culture With Community
Beyond selling products, our presence at the markets was about Nepali sharing culture and stories. Many visitors were curious about the origin of Pashmina (including its production, and the hands behind the weaving). These conversations encouraged us to establish a direct connection with Australians who respect authenticity, slow fashion, and ethically made products.
A Day to Remember
The Hartley Hall Markets provided us with an exceptional opportunity to reestablish contact with our devoted customers who value our mission and to introduce our expanding brand to new faces. The day was genuinely special due to the diverse crowd, friendly atmosphere, and rural charm.
We expect to attend numerous additional events that allow us to continue to exhibit the beauty of Nepalese craftsmanship to the Australian community.
