These goats live in cold regions like as Nepal, Tibet and China, where the chilly climate favors the development of their long, thick undercoats. This is what makes cashmere exceptionally soft and comfortable. The term “Cashmere” is an anglicized version of Kashmir.

The Superior Fiber

Common terminology describes the fiber as wool. It is superior in fineness, strength, lightness, softness, and insulation, being approximately twice as effective than sheep wool. The soft undercoat and guard hairs can both be utilized; the softer fibers are designated for textiles, whereas the coarse guard hairs can be used for brushes and other non-apparel purposes.
